In a highly controversial move Britain has decided to remove the image of the queens head from its stamps and coins

A spokesman for the Royal Mint pointed out that the words “Queens Head” form one of the most popular names of taverns or pubs ads they are known in Britain. He explained “We do not feel that it is appropriate for people who are too young to drink alcohol to be continually exposed to an image that is so closely associated with licensed premises”

The Royal mint are researching possible replacement images. So far the most popular ideas are to replace the queens head with a red lion a white horse or a jolly boatman.
