Yet another government back down

So the government has backed down on yet another of its stupid ideas. The latest back down is in the area of education and follows back downs in foreign affairs, defence and a whole list of other subjects.

On the one hand it is great to see a government recognise that so many of its ideas are unworkable and stupid, but on the other hand it would be nicer to have a government that didn’t have unworkable and stupid ideas in the first place
